BMW Introduced the Concept Car BMW i3

BMW Group BMW showcased a concept car that uses electricity i3. BMW i3 will be launched in 2013 while his brother, BMW i8, 2014.


“We always keep a dream to be able to offer electric cars to consumers,” said Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, on the sidelines of the two models debut in Frankfurt.

According to the company’s press release, BMW i3 Concept comes with an electric drive with no emissions and can travel a distance of 150 kilometers.


The car was driven by an electric motor power 125 kW using LifeDrive architectural design in the form of a carbon passenger cell that weighs only 1250 pounds lighter.
