Traffic accidents have been a scourge that continues to haunt the road users. But in the future, it seems to be reduced thanks to a technology that can read the mind of the rider who is currently being prepared.

The technology being developed by researchers from the Berlin Institute of Technology will help the driver to brake the car in a state of sudden braking.

That way, accidents caused by human error was expected to be reduced.

The study has involved 18 participants. The participants were then placed in a driving simulator to identify the brain are most active when braking.

Myoelectric (EMG) activity, caused by muscle tension in the lower leg that can be used to detect movement of the feet before you actually move to the brake pedal too careful.

Stefan Haufe, who led the study said that they now are considering using the technology had been in a real car, no longer on the simulator.

“We can safely say that it is mainly the EEG can do early detection,” he said.

“We now consider testing the online system is the actual car, however, if this technology into commercial products, would be used to complement other assistive technology to avoid the consequences of ‘false alarms’ that can be distracting and dangerous,” due diligence.
